Task 2- Types (part 2) Comparison

Comparing types

Demonstration adverts

Demonstration adverts show examples of how the product in the advert works and how the product benefits the consumer. Demonstration adverts are recognisable because they normally show the product or service being used, aswell as the features of the product or service. For example this Microsoft Hololens adverts shows people using the hololens headset for different tasks.

One difference between Testiomonial ads and Demonstration ads is that testiomonial adverts have people who give their opinion about the product or service, while Demonstration adverts have people demonstrating what the product or service can do. Another difference between the two is that Demonstraion adverts are seemingly more profit driven. Demonstration adverts try to get people to buy the product by showing off how good the product is. But Testiomonial adverts tend to have a feel good quality within their adverts. For example the Dove advert has women talking about how Dove products have changed their lives. This makes the viewers of the advert feel good.

Testimonial adverts

A Testimonial advert is an advert in which a person gives a written or spoken opinion about the product or service that is being advertised.

Demonstration Adverts are more effective in promoting thier product to a younger audience because these types of adverts show how the products work. It allows the younger audience to understand the product and see examples of it.
